Carter Boucher began painting in oils along side his mother at the tender age of 3. Together they would sit with their
easels side by side for hours at a time painting. Very shortly thereafter he began helping his mother with her drawing and
color mixing. Mr. Boucher received his first oil painting commission at the age of 5.
Mr. Boucher's father was in the military, which placed him in France for four years, from the second through the sixth
grade. During that time he studied in the museums of Europe setting up his easel and copying the great masters.
Mr. Boucher has a degree in Art from USC. For 12 years he was the Artist in Residence for the South Carolina Arts Commission.
His work has been in one man or group shows at Museums, Art Centers and Universities and is also represented in numerous collections
worldwide. A few of the companies that he has done either fine Art or illustrations for include NASA, Westinghouse, C&S
Bank, Panasonic, University of South Carolina, Clemson University WREN House, The Honorable Dick Riley - former Governor of
South Carolina, Mr. Robert Klatt, Bob Carman DDS, Dick Riley's Veteran's Home (Anderson, SC). Some of the publications and
media exposure include New York Art Review, American Artist, Watercolor 88, Honor Book, Personalities of the South, as well
as numerous television, radio and newspaper articles.
